Today was Fast and Testimony meeting and began with a contagious, inspiring testimony from a woman named Joni Georgeson. She told of how a friend of hers had commented that she had never heard her parents bare their testimony about the gospel. And, because of this, she felt that it was the reason that her and her siblings were struggling to find a spiritual foundation in their adult life.
So Joni bore her testimony because she wanted her family to know that she did have a testimony of the church. It was not only inspiring to me but to many others as they came up and bore their own testimonies to their own families, catching on how important that is.
And I thought about how I don't think I have formally or purposely bore my testimony to my children, or to Jon for that matter. And I don't think that I have ever really heard from my own parents their testimony.
This motivated me to develop my own, strong testimony and to share it more with those whom I love the most.
